Our KSP Mini World Cup this year was inclusive, interesting and was a great chance for students to either try football for the first time or just showcase their existing talent in front of the whole school.
In our 5 a side tournament we had 4 groups of 3 teams where every team played 2 matches against equally matched opponents. The two teams that qualified from each group played in a quarter final where the winners made it to the semi finals. In the semis the 2 winning teams proceeded to the final while the losers faced a 3rd place play off in which Brazil beat France with a score line of 5-2.

The two teams that made it to the final were Poland and Spain. All of the classes made their way to the eagerly awaited game and cheered on their favourite team. The scoring began in the second half with Poland taking the lead but late into the game Spain equalised making it 1-1. The match then went to extra time where Poland netted 2 goals and won the game 3-1.
We had gold medals for first and second class, while 3rd place received certificates. The mini World Cup was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone involved and it was a great success.
