The KSP first opened its doors in the Scouts’ Den in September 1987, one of the first multi-denominational schools in the country. The establishment of the school was the result of the work of a group of parents who recognised the demand for a co-educational, multi-denominational school in the Kilkenny area.
In December of 1996 the school moved to its permanent premises on the Waterford Road.
